Master's Thesis, Part I of III
This video is the introduction to all three sections, and a brief (but fun) history of contraception and STI awareness in general. I use the term "STI", as in sexually-transmitted infection, because I was told by Marcus Schwarz (a support group coordinator, who you will meet in Part II of this series) that "STI" is a more politically correct term than "STD".
I have included interviews here with Lisa Spinelli, who has HPV and wrote an article about it for the Phoenix, Dr. Adina Nack, who also has HPV and wrote a book about it, "Damaged Goods?", and nurse practitioner Kate Adelstein of the Dimock Health Center in Roxbury, Massachusetts. The stand-up was shot by Giada Tridello, and all other references are noted in the video.
